Helping your child to settle in
We understand that starting nursery is a big step for both children and parents. Our settling in process is carefully planned to be calm, gradual and supportive.
We work closely with families to ensure each child settles at their own pace, helping them build confidence and trust in their new environment.
Each child is offered a minimum of two complimentary one-hour settling-in sessions, designed as an opportunity for your child to start building a relationship with their assigned key person. During these sessions, our staff will collaborate with you to gather a comprehensive understanding of your child’s care requirements and interests, which will help shape their learning journey with us. It’s also a convenient time to review permission forms and discuss any medical or dietary needs.
We always recommend at least two settling-in sessions but are happy to arrange additional ones if needed.
After we receive your completed registration form, we will provide a welcome pack that includes our Parent Handbook, which offers further details about the nursery and outlines our policies. Information regarding our online learning journals and some tips on how you can help your child get ready for their first day at nursery
