Welcome to Ruby Room, our baby room
Ruby Room is thoughtfully designed for children between 3 months and approximately 2 years old. This self-contained, warm, and cosy space features direct access to its own private garden, creating a relaxing and nurturing environment with both a main playroom and a separate cot room for restful sleep.
We use a blend of sensory, heuristic, and purpose-built resources to encourage our babies and toddlers to explore, fostering curiosity and independence from their earliest days. In Ruby Room, children are introduced to the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, which guides their development from infancy through to their reception year, ensuring each child receives the right support at every stage.
Our youngest children benefit from their own dedicated outdoor play area, complete with a climbing frame designed to help develop physical skills and a sense of adventure. Babies also have access to the wider nursery gardens, playground, mud kitchen, and construction zone, offering plenty of opportunities to discover and enjoy the world around them.
Ruby Room is staffed by experienced, qualified, and long-serving professionals who are passionate about nurturing and supporting the development of each child. Every child is paired with a dedicated key person, ensuring routines like nappy changes, feeding, and settling to sleep are special one-to-one moments that help foster strong bonds and a sense of security. Staff follow each child’s individual home routine as closely as possible, creating a familiar and comforting experience.
We offer a diverse range of activities, from creative messy play to quiet time in cosy corners. All activities are thoughtfully planned to meet each child’s developmental needs and interests, using our own observations alongside information shared by parents. Parents receive regular updates about their child’s progress via our online app.

Our staff maintain comprehensive daily diaries, recording sleep times, meals, nappy changes, and highlights from your child’s day. This valuable information is shared with parents at pick-up, and is always accessible through our online app, ensuring peace of mind and a strong partnership with families.
